By Car

First to Split and than take ferry or catamaran to Vela Luka or
Korčula town.

One can reach Split by way of the Adriatic Coastal Road
from the western and eastern directions, and from the north by the road
which connects it with the Dalmatian hinterland and with the continental
part of the country and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Depending upon which
direction one takes when arriving (or leaving), we suggest visits on the
way to Split, Drvenik or Dubrovnik.

One can also travel to Split from Italy by taking one
of the ferries
which connect Split with Venice, Ancona, Pescaro and Bari.

By Bus
-
From capital city Zagreb or also from Dubrovnik
directly to Blato. Bus tickets can be bought at the bus terminal.

From all big cities first to Split, than either by
hydrogliser or car ferry to Vela Luka or Korčula Town.

From Drvenik /south of Makarska/ or Orebić /Peninsula
Peljašac/ by car ferry to Korčula harbour and then by bus to Blato.

The Adriatic Coastal Road and roads leading inland,
connect Split with the neighbouring country of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The city is also connected by regular lines throughout the entire year
with all of the most impotant tourist centres on the Adriatic Coast
(with Dubrovnik, Makarska, Sibenik, Zadar, Rijeka and Pula) and with
just about all of the larger cities in the continental part of the
Croatia (Knin, Karlovac, Zagreb, Varazdin and Osijek) neighbouring
countries of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Mostar, Sarajevo, Zenica, Tuzla),
Slovenia (Maribor, Ljubljana), Hungary (Budapest) as well as
international lines from Trieste and Munich.

In the summer months, lines
exist in all directions.

By Train

from Zagreb to Split and then the same as by bus.

The railway station in Split is situated in the very
center of the city, near Diocletian's palace. It has an advantage of
being in the immediate vicinity of the bus terminal, the ferry and
ports, and the air terminal.

Split is connected with Zagreb. In the full tourist
season, there are also quite a few extra trains running. From Zagreb and
from Split cars can be transported by train.

from 6.30 a. m. till 20 p. m.

By Plain

to Split Airport at Kastela, tel.: 203-506 (information),
203-555 (centrale), 203-423 (lost-found service), fax: 203-422.
Only some twenty kilometres far from the ancient
Diocletian's town, in the immediate vicinity of lavish hills of the
Kastela field and the mediaeval city of Trogir, the Split Airport is
situated. It is the most significant Croatian airport on the Adriatic
coast.

A safe and expedient traffic of passengers and cargo is
guaranteed by modern equipment, vehicles and devices, as well as a
qualified and experienced staff all the year long, mostly due to the
mild Mediterranean climate.

Open daily between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. and longer if
required, the airport offers service to passengers on home and
international flights of Croatia Airlines, Adria Airways and several
charter airlines. With a number of 580.000 passengers in 1995 the
Split-Kastela Airport connects Split to Zagreb, Rome, Amsterdam,
Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Istamboul and Ljubljana, and via Zagreb and
Ljubljana to all European and overseas destinations.

The assortment of basic services is extended and
complemented by the Split Airport and Dubrovnik Airport own catering: preparing meals on board
planes and in restaurants and cafes, shops, consignment sale, duty free

By Boat

First to Split harbour and then by boat or catamaran to

Split is the largest and most important passenger port
on the Adriatic coast. Maritime and ferry lines connect it with Corfu,
Bari, Pescara, Ancona and Venice, as well as with Hvar, Korcula,
Dubrovnik, Sibenik, Zadar and Rijeka.

Daily local ferry and catamaran lines connect Split with Hvar, Vela
Luka, Lastovo and Korčula .

Daily ferry lines connect Drvenik with Trpanj and
Orebić
with Korčula.

Boat lines
exist also from Orebić to Korčula.
